White and Necessary

The white blouse. 

A staple for many, despite gender, style or budget. 

The one shirt that remains constant despite it's inability to withstand the toughest of stains. 

Once upon a time it was strictly worn to the office, however it has pushed it's way to the forefront of our wardrobes. 

At one point only being chosen on Monday - Friday, it is now gladly picked on a Saturday, sported with sneakers. 

Both classic and necessary. 

Significant at every age, for any event. 

In fact I think the white blouse, is kind of like myself.

We are all born, crisp, clean and pure - like a white button up.

The white button up, faces it's own challenges, like ketchup stains from lunch, and sweat stains caused from running around the office all day.

I am no different. I too get tarnished. 

Maybe not from food stains, but disappointment, and harsh words can often have the same effect on me.

However, just the like the white button up, although stains may plague my existence, I am still loved. 

And all I must do, is lift those stains that so desperately try to cling. 

Although Tide To-Go may not be my weapon of choice, I think confidence and grace may be a great start.
